Structure f o r m a t i o bilingual primary school‘s school curriculum is designed to meet the prescribed learning objectives of Liechtenstein school authorities. The school is divided into two levels. The first three year school-entry programme allows each child to learn the basic subjects and school culture at his own pace. The second level prepares the pupils for high school.
Individualisation
The division of the primary school into groups is to promote the individual coaching method of teaching. After initial assessment, each pupil is taught in a tailor-made, individual programme of learning and enabled to work in accordance with his own developmental abilities and learning speed. This ensures that the content of each syllabus is thoroughly understood and learnt.
Strengthen Strengths
At formatio, the strengths of each pupil are identified and promoted so that challenge and stimulation can be used to accelerate development. Special assistance is planned for any areas of academic weakness.
Bilingual Teaching
formatio is a fully bilingual school. This means that the pupils receive approximately 50% of their lessons in English and 50% in German. Apart from lessons, the pupils are in the care of mother-tongue English speaking teachers, as well as German speakers, throughout the day and will learn and understand the languages in a natural and stress-free manner.
Holistic Education
Social competence, ethics and etiquette are also important for success in life. At formatio we place emphasis on mutual respect, good manners and team-work. Our aim to assist the pupils to develop peaceful solution orientated negotiating skills. This results in a safe, pleasant environment where everyone is free to learn happily.
Day school
The bilingual primary school has a full-day programme from 08h00 – 15h00. Your child will be taken care of throughout the day and at lunchtime too, if desired. The pupils are given time to do homework and test preparation during school hours. This means that you and your child can fully enjoy any free time after school hours.
