Berlin, Berlin, wir fahren nach Berlin!

Five students from Oberstufengymnasium had an incredible opportunity to continue their work from October’s Masterclass by traveling to Berlin to collaborate with students from SRH Berlin University of Applied Sciences. This project, supported by Integrity Earth—a Liechtenstein based non-profit Think & Do Tank—is focused on creating a platform that empowers the young people of Liechtenstein. Their goal is to inspire youth to engage in the economy, drive innovation, and have their voices heard on the issues that matter most.

While in Berlin, our students teamed up with SRH bachelor students in graphic design to provide feedback on logos and branding ideas. The university students listened attentively and will present redesigned concepts based on this feedback in December. The group also met with master’s students in System Design to discuss what the platform needs to succeed in Liechtenstein. Topics like gamification, media fatigue, user experience, and sleek, simple designs were at the forefront of their discussions.

The trip wasn’t all work, though! The students explored Berlin’s rich culture, visiting landmarks like the Brandenburg Gate, East Side Gallery, Holocaust Memorial, and of course the Hard Rock Cafe. What stood out most was the confidence our students displayed in sharing their ideas and opinions. The university students truly valued their input, treating them as equal partners in the creative process. It was inspiring to see high school students working as respected peers alongside university students.
